FOR THE THEORY MODULE i will rate:

1. Your blog entries about the specific topic ("presentation")
2. Your "presentation" / the input you gave us in the class
3. Your blog posts & activity in general
4. Your EVALUATION presentation (VISUALS / SLIDES / STYLE / ORDER etc)
5. Your EVALUATION overall impression (TIME MANAGEMENT / APPROACH / FILES FOR ARCHIVE: THIS PART CONCERNS ALL COURSES!)




TIME: the evaluation starts at 8.30 (jeudi 7.7.2005) with gregory. each student (also greg) have to be prepared at least 30 minutes before their start in case we change the schedule.

PRESENCE DURING THE DAY: all students (also cv2MID) must be present for all presentations. your learn a lot from your peers works and the teachers comments! this is standard in good universities and i want it like this. the day of the show is not the time to finish the work... ;-) you need a few hours distance and a second to relax before you enter show mode to do a convincing presentation. dont forget: the way you present (visualy and what you say) defines an important part of the impression (and mark).

LOCATION: salle polivalent (next to cinema room)

TECH: i told mr sommereisen to install a MAC G5 and hook it up to the beamer. but you are responsible yourself for the technology you want to use. I WILL NOT CHECK THE SETUP! please install and check your files and slideshows/presentations / sound / beam etc. the day before and with the specific settings... (as the presentation is part of your mark you really need to care about this! check if grafic converter, power point or whatever you use works and all codecs for the movies are installed!)

ARCHIVE:

we will for the first time insert the material into an advanced MID project data base we developed with fritz and alain. fritz and alex will be present and insert the material real time. stay connected with them during the day and make sure your material is inside the db at the end of the day! CV2MID can also do it at noon or whenever our assistants fritz and alex have time!

you have to bring your project files for the archive the same day!
-> all relevant data of each project on CD or DVD (no upload yet!)

-one sketch
-source code
-final version
-3 screenshots ( RESOLUTION: 1280 x 1024 Pixel, format: PNG)
-a short TXT description (250 caracters)
-3 photos if the project is physical as well (modell, installation, event etc) between 2MegaPixel and 6 Megapixel (format: TIF)

pls never use special compression stuff... interlacing, progressive coding etc...


LAST MOMENT TO SUBMIT YOUR FILES FOR THE ARCHIVE: during our mark discussion (ca 15.00 -16.00) with fritz and alex! so in case you dont have time to prepare the archive files before the evaluations you MUST do this just after your SHOW and contact ALEX & FRITZ early enough to insert everything before 16.00! this is really important.
