motion graphics artist and graphic designer chris kelly from london just arrived in lausanne.


Bio:

Chris Kelly is an independent art director, designer, lecturer and design journalist
working with a wide range of clients in film, television, music, publishing and the arts.

After graduating with an MA in design at Central Saint Martins Chris worked as a freelance designer for a year at his studio in west London before moving on to Polydor Records as senior designer. He was then invited to join Getty Images as an art director. After Getty images Chris ran mono design from his studio in central London working with a wide range of clients worldwide. Chris has also been a visiting lecturer at the LCP (now LCC) on the BA graphic design course. Having recently left the BBC as head of typography chris is now working with iso design as art director/designer on a new series for the BBC. Chris has recently been appointed UK art director and editor for IdN (International Designers Network) magazine in Hong Kong. Currently He is working
with the iso organisation (www.isodesign.co.uk) on several motion graphic projects.

Chris is also the author and designer of several books on design related subjects
ranging from Branding to Advertising and has had his work published in many books and periodicals worldwide. His most recent project is for Idn in Hong Kong and CMYK magazine in the states. His latest book looks at designers involved in filmmaking on the west coast of America where Chris is visiting in June to visit various animation studios.
