WHO ARE YOU?

By zai @ 07:38 [ CV1 niv1 ]
the first part of our MEDIA & INTERACTION DESIGN course is a short trip into the entertaining universe of identities.

we all use a lot of masks, words, gadgets, symbols and other tools to show the world who we are. we build indentities to seperate us from the other individuals around us... at the same time we use the very same elements to make clear (or hide) where we come from, to which social structure we belong, try to belong etc.

lets think about how we construct and especially display our identities:

the first thing i see ...

YOUR FACE.

YOUR STYLE: cloths, gadgets, language,

lets take it to an abstract level...

YOUR NAME.

...

if i want to make sure it is REALLY you... i have to take

YOUR FINGERPRINT.

or even analyze

YOUR DNA.

here we are taking a look into the virtual extention of identity... what does google say about yourself / your name, projects, brands etc ?

lets go ego surfing!

WHHHHAT?! NOTHING OUT THERE!? ... lets change this:
with a blog.

terms and facts:

blog: comes from web-log (a personal log book on the web)
blogging: the verb. posting stuff to a blog / publishing material in the blog.
blogger: the person who is blogging
expected active blogs worldwide today: at least a million.

articles:
BBC NEWS

... to be continued...
