These papers are mainly questioning the idea of social robot as machines that “mimic” human’s behaviors (from facial expression to social protocols). For example the paper “romancing robots” give an overview of these subjects. “Anthropomorphisms and robotics” and “Anthropomorphisms and social robots” go in detail about facial expression and human-like robots. “From fiction to science” you find a synthesis about film and robot “main character” history.
